I’ve always wanted a taste of Zaeed.

I can’t believe I never actually posted this here before. Myself as Tali and my friend (@MasterWaffle // Tumblr) as Miranda.
I can’t remember if Regeener or SubitoAllegra took this one.
TALI IS DONE! The bicep packs and necklace aren’t on. I’m going to velcro a few more things because I NEED IT TO STAY IN PLACE.
Not happy with the lopsided helmet (that my chin likes to peek out of occasionally), but I think it’s pretty good for my first time sewing.
Painted the helmet tonight, looking pretty good if you ask me!
What I still need to do:
Started working “heavily” on the visor over the weekend. Can’t believe I have just over a week to get this thing done.
What I still need to do:
Seems like a lot, huh? Fortunately they’re all small things. I’m open to suggestions on any of them, by the way.
See you all at PAX!
I made a lot of progress today. Namely on my boots, belt buckle, and built a vacuum former. Whoo hoo!
I can’t stop just wearing my Tali hood around the house.
Cosplay update!
I added the body wraps, and made a neck piece (but it’s loose at the moment). A little over a month left!
(Double bra makes a huge difference, HAHA)
Finally decided to start working with my expensive swirly fabric.
Tali’Zorah Vas Hobo (AKA what happens when I’m summoned to a G+ Hangout)
Bought some belts from strapworks.com and colored them with a silver permanent marker. These are the belts that wrap around Tali’s torso
I’m quite happy with how they turned out and just need to fix the center squares a bit.
I added trim to my practice Tali hood. I decided not to work on the final one until I get my helmet done because who has any idea how much mass that will add underneath the hood. I’m pleased with my first trim job.
The lumpies are mostly from me thinking it would be a good idea to hem the bottom and hood before I decided trim was the solution I wanted.
I’ll be starting a legit Tali hood this week. I also picked up a dress pattern I’m going to incorporate some of the fabric into.
So, I started my preliminary hood for my Tali cosplay. This is a really thin fabric, so hopefully once I get my swirlies it’ll all be good since it’s thicker. Also trim and possibly lining should help the shape of the hood (if I can figure those out)
I’m very, very pleased with how the hood hangs in the back, but the front is a bit short. Especially once I have a mask under there. It’s also a bit tight in the back/around the arms because I have wide shoulders. I’ll need to rework the pattern for sizing. Anyways, I don’t think it came out too bad for my first sewing project.
